Nintendo is rewriting the rules of in-game music with Nintendo Music, a mobile app that invites fans to stream the soundtracks behind their favorite games.

Available now for iOS and Android, Nintendo Music allows Switch Online members to enjoy exclusive game tracks in a streamlined interface packed with nostalgic surprises and curated playlists that bring Nintendo’s beloved worlds to life.

Tailored exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, the company’s unexpected foray into music streaming delivers a journey across decades of gaming history. From the pixelated melodies of Super Mario Bros. to the orchestral scores of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo has long resisted sharing its vast catalog of in-game music with existing streaming platforms like Spotify, but with the new app, fans now have a dedicated space to access numerous official soundtracks. At launch, it boasts a catalog spanning flagship franchises like Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and Metroid, alongside deep cuts from Fire Emblem and even the iconic Wii Shop Channel theme. Users can browse by game or franchise, explore mood-based playlists and create custom mixes.
